These are the memoirs of Oloo Jnr, son of Chief Oloo – a ‘true African man’. Living in this modern age, though, has proved challenging as the place of the ‘true African man’ has been replaced with man bags and men’s lip gloss. Here I discuss living as a young African man in the modern times. Balancing my learning from an old African chief and relating them to life, relationships, marriage and social norms. In doing all this trying to chart my own path as a young, modern African man.
